Terms & Conditions – Mentoring (DSA)
1. Services Provided
Band 4 Specialist Mentoring for Autism/ADHD under the Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA).
Sessions delivered online or in person (as agreed).
2. Session Booking & Cancellations
Sessions are booked in advance, usually weekly.
Students must provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations.
Late cancellations or non-attendance cannot be claimed from SLC and will not be charged.
3. Fees
All sessions are charged at the standard Band 4 rate set by the Student Loans Company (SLC).
Fees are paid directly by SLC via the HEI Hub (students are not charged directly).
4. Confidentiality & Safeguarding
All mentoring is confidential except where safeguarding concerns require disclosure.
Safeguarding responsibilities are aligned with statutory guidance (Keeping Children Safe in Education, 2023).
5. Record-Keeping
Attendance and session records are required for SLC audit purposes.
Records will be stored securely in compliance with GDPR.
Terms & Conditions – Consultancy
1. Services Provided
Universal Design for Learning (UDL) consultancy, staff training, audits, and resource development.
Work will be delivered as per the agreed scope in the consultancy proposal.
2. Fees & Payment
Standard consultancy day rate: £450–£600/day (online delivery).
Project and retainer fees as agreed in the written proposal.
Invoices are payable within 30 days of issue.
3. Cancellations & Postponements
Consultancy days cancelled by the client with less than 7 days’ notice may be invoiced at 50% of the agreed fee.
Postponed dates will be rescheduled where possible.
4. Intellectual Property
Training materials and toolkits remain the property of DSA Mentoring & Consultancy.
Clients are licensed to use them internally for staff development, but not to resell or distribute externally.
5. Confidentiality
All client information will be kept confidential.
Reports will not be shared outside the institution without permission.
6. Liability & Insurance
Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance are in place.
Liability is limited to the value of the contract.
